2023 Assistant Coach

Cari loves being on the field as a player and a coach.  She encourages young athletes to play multiple sports and be the best well rounded athletes they can be.  Cari plays lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, tennis, and competes in triathlons and cycling races, and is an avid waterskiier.

Cari was inducted into the US Lacrosse CT Hall of Fame in 2015 and was a two sport All-America and All-Ivy athlete at Cornell.   She was inducted into the Cornell University Athletics Hall of Fame, the New Canaan High School Athletics Hall of Fame, and the New Canaan Old Timers Association.

At Cornell, Cari graduated as Cornell’s career leader scorer in both sports.  She was a two-time All-American in lacrosse and was Cornell’s first-ever All-American in field hockey.  In lacrosse she graduated as the school’s career leader in points (180), goals (131), ground balls (154), and draw controls (110).   In field hockey she scored a goal in a school-record 31 consecutive games, and her 57 points and 47 goals are single-season records.  As a freshman, she was named the field hockey Ivy League Rookie of the Year, her junior year she won the Richie Moran Award, and as a senior was recognized as the Cornell Daily Sun Athlete of the Year.

As a cancer survivor, she credits her determination and ‘never give up’ attitude that she learned from sports as a key reason she was able to get through challenging times.

Cari has been coaching youth lacrosse and field hockey in New Canaan since 2010.   In 2016, Cari coached the New Canaan 7th grade girls CONNY championship team and the New Canaan 5th/6th grade field hockey team who celebrated a second place finish.

Cari remains extremely active with Cornell through athletics and she sits on the Cornell University Council, President’s Council of Cornell Women, and the Cornell Athletics Advisory Council.  She is a founding board member of the Cornell Varsity Club, the Cornell Field Hockey Association and the Friends of New Canaan Lacrosse.

Cari is a working mom and is an executive at Accenture where she blends her passion for technology and data.   Carihas two daughters, Polly and Lucy, who are also multi-sport athletes.   They play Lacrosse, Field Hockey, breakdancing, downhill skiing and snowboarding, and they too are enthusiastic waterskiiers.
